The beginnings

In 2000, Nicolas Naegelen and Jean-Claude Laureux founded Poly Son Post Production alongside four sound engineers, with the ambition of creating a structure dedicated to the production of film and audiovisual works.

Originally focused on audio production, the company has gradually expanded its scope to encompass the entire spectrum of video and audio post-production.

Over the years, Polyson has established itself as a hub where talent, expertise, and technical infrastructure come together to serve filmmakers, producers, and creators.

Today, Polyson supports productions at every stage of post-production, from the processing and management of on-set footage to color grading, editing, mixing, and the creation of deliverables for various distribution formats.

Research & Development

Staying true to this culture of creation and innovation, the company also conducts research and development through its HAL department, which designs innovative tools for image processing (HAL Picture) and sound (HAL Audio).

The technologies developed within HAL have also been recognized by the Académie des Arts et Techniques du Cinéma. The Boom-It plug-in, developed by HAL Audio, received the César & Techniques Innovation Award in 2024, while the Diachromie / Diaphanie suite, designed by HAL Picture, was awarded the César & Techniques Innovation Award in 2026.

Through its different areas of activity, Polyson pursues a shared ambition: to bring together expertise, talent, and high-end technical infrastructures in the service of creation and the works that shape culture.
