Immersive Sound Creation Studio

Cosmotone is a sound creation studio specialized in immersive experiences, founded in 2017 by sound designer Côme Jalibert.

Based in Nice at the Studios de la Victorine, the studio combines creativity and technology to develop distinctive sonic worlds and design audio interactions tailored to immersive formats (XR, VR, AR).

Cosmotone supports directors, producers, and creative studios in the development of innovative projects at the crossroads of cinema, video games, and new immersive forms of storytelling.
The studio works closely with creators, overseeing the sound direction of their projects and fostering collaboration across all sound departments: music, voice, and sound design.
Cosmotone is involved at every stage of sound creation for immersive projects:
- Sound design and sound creation
- Sound supervision and audio team management
- Native immersive editing and mixing
- 3D audio spatialization
- Audio integration with middleware (FMOD, Wwise)
- Audio integration within real-time engines / game engines (Unity, Unreal Engine)
- Voice recording, foley, ambiences, ADR, VR shoots

- Audio testing, debugging, and profiling
The studio primarily collaborates with production companies specialized in immersive storytelling, such as Atlas V, Lucid Realities, and Small Creative, on works presented at international festivals (Venice Immersive, SXSW…) or deployed in cultural institutions and museums.

Empereur is an immersive VR experience that explores the relationship between a daughter and her aphasic father who has lost the ability to speak. By imagining what is happening inside her father’s mind, she attempts to rebuild their connection and invent a new way of communicating.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom

Venice Immersive Competition 2024
Mobile Suit Gundam: Silver Phantom is an interactive VR film set in the iconic Gundam universe. Participants take on the role of a young pilot and embark on an immersive adventure at the controls of a legendary Mobile Suit. The experience also includes a mixed reality (MR) battle mode.

Collective Body is an interactive and collective VR experience that invites participants to explore their identity and connect with others through an immersive system combining avatars and generative music composed by Harvey Causon.
